Jonathan Griffin | IFIS Publishing


Jonathan joined IFIS as Head of Product Development in January 2018, being appointed as Managing Director shortly after.

Jonathan has been developing digital services for the academic and regulatory markets for the last 15 years. He has worked for Thomson Reuters and the British Standards Institution, where he was Head of Market Development.

Most recently, he worked at the Publishers Licensing Society, where he developed new licensing tools that won two innovation awards in 2017. He has an MBA from Edinburgh Business School.


Maria Severino, Head of Finance, HR and Admin

Maria has been with IFIS since 2001, initially as Accountant and more recently as Head of Finance, HR, and Admin, where her duties cover all aspects of financial control and management.

A full member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (FMAAT), Maria has previously worked for CSL, Avco Trust, Guardian Royal Exchange, and BT in various financial roles. 


Rhianna Jones, Head of marketing

Rhianna joined IFIS in 2014 and is responsible for marketing. 

She is on the committee of the British Section of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), Webmaster of the Food, Agriculture and Nutrition division of the Special Libraries Association (SLA), and a member of the Marketing and Communications working group of the Research4Life programme.

Rhianna previously worked for Elsevier, marketing scientific journals and conferences.

Carlos Gimeno | IFIS Publishing

Carlos Gimeno, Head of Sales

Carlos joined IFIS as Head of Sales in January 2018.

He has been an active member of the international publishing community since 2005 and has held international development roles with Taylor & Francis, Cambridge University Press and Ingram.

His area of expertise is in digital migration in developing markets and will be leading the commercial expansion of FSTA and Escalex globally.
