Meet Professor Ian Noble

Meet Professor Ian Noble CEng FIChemE MIFST

Ian heads up Research, Analytical and Productivity for Mondelēz RDQ, with a globally distributed organisation spanning our technical centres across the world with an extensive network of external world leading research partners. Previously he led Mondelēz’s Chocolate Technology Group, accountable for the strategic technical innovation agenda for brands including Cadbury’s Dairy Milk and Milka around the world, together with in-market competitive product quality, the technical support for their Snack Futures venture organisation and their Industrial Design team.

Prior to joining Mondelez, Ian led the Global Emerging Snacks Technology group for PepsiCo R&D where he was responsible for creating and delivering new technologies for emerging products. Ian joined PepsiCo in 2007 from Unilever where he was latterly the Global FoodService Beverages R&D Director. He enjoyed an international career working in many countries.

Ian is committed to strengthening the technical agenda that enables our Food System to enable greater productivity, growth and sustainability for this vital sector of our modern economy. As such he recognises the importance of contributing to the fuller external Food Sector agenda actively supporting through external advisory boards: Future Food Beacon at Nottingham University, ISCF-MADE SMARTER, Food Strategic Group – CPI, the UK Food & Drink Sector Council – Innovation group, chairing the UK Food Sector KTN and as trustee of the APV Seligman Trust.
