University of Reading bespoke training session, February 2024, Reading, UK
IFIS was pleased to host an on-site training event for PhD and MSc Food and Nutrition students on the topic of predatory journals and the danger of fake science. Feedback from attendees included:
- "The IFIS session to raise awareness of predatory publishing helped students to understand more about how important it is to check the sources they are using as part of their studies and where to publish. It highlighted the risk of including predatory content in their work, and methods to check if sources and publishers are reputable. A very informative and important session." (Jackie Skinner, Academic Liaison Librarian for Food and Nutritional Sciences)
