We were honoured to present 'Scientific Information Research: Importance, challenges, researcher behaviour and IFIS' work to meet needs through free education and tools for literature searching, systematic reviews and publishing' as part of the Politics and Education Session.

We were joined by  Ivan Oranksy, Co-Founder of Retraction Watch for our Industry Breakout Session 'Has publish-or-perish polluted the scientific record?' A fireside chat with Retraction Watch and IFIS Publishing.

MLA '24 Conference, May 2024, Portland, USA
IFIS was delighted to attend MLA '24 conference, bringing together health information professionals from across the world. IFIS joined Wolters Kluwer, the MLA'24 Platinum Sponsor, for the launch of Ovid NutriHealth, brought to you by Ovid and IFIS Publishing.

USAIN / CBHL 2024 Biennial Meeting, May 2024, Michigan, USA
We were pleased to return to the joint conference from United States Agricultural Information Network (USAIN) and Council on Botanical and Horticultural Libraries (CBHL), held at Michigan State University, USA. This conference connects librarians and other information professionals working in agriculture, food science, and beyond.

University of Reading bespoke training session, February 2024, Reading, UK

IFIS was pleased to host an on-site training event for PhD and MSc Food and Nutrition students on the topic of predatory journals and the danger of fake science. Feedback from attendees included:

• "The IFIS session to raise awareness of predatory publishing helped students to understand more about how important it is to check the sources they are using as part of their studies and where to publish. It highlighted the risk of including predatory content in their work, and methods to check if sources and publishers are reputable.
