Covering a wide range of interdisciplinary content from journal articles and trade publications to conference proceedings and industry patents, FSTA is full of high-quality scientific abstracts and is updated weekly. Here's a selection of what was included in FSTA during May 2025:What's new in FSTA

  • FSTA now contains over 2.25 million high-quality scientific records spanning from 1969 onwards.

  • During May 2025, 13,301 new records were added to the database. The records comprise almost 10,000 research and trade articles, over 1,700 patents, and more than 1,300 reviews, as well as theses, books, reports, and conference proceedings.

  • The latest records indexed feature content from 604 different sources. These include 173 publishers based in 44 countries. 

  • March also saw us add 1 new title to the live list of journals being monitored for relevant content for FSTA, after being carefully checked to ensure the journal's quality, integrity, and relevance to FSTA. Most importantly, we use our 60-point checklist to identify and exclude journals with potentially predatory or unethical publishing practices.
     
    This new journal has been sourced from China and focuses on Animal Sciences.  Data from this title will flow into FSTA over the upcoming weeks.

new to ifis Sustainability

IFIS Sustainability is a free 6-month rolling database, updated weekly, ensuring you have immediate access to the latest research shaping the future of sustainable food science. With new records added every week, here's what was new for May 2025:

  • During May, 404 new articles were added to the database, continuing the rolling 6-month coverage.
  • The records comprise more than 300 journal articles, alongside reviews and books. 49% of these articles are Open Access or publicly available.
  • Popular research areas include Food Industry Economics, Nutrition, and Drinking Water. Specialist topics such as Wines, Bread and Breadmaking, and Protein Isolates are also represented.
