Our mission
Connecting people with trusted food, health and nutrition sciences through expert curation and innovative discovery tools.
We act with honesty, fairness, and ethical responsibility in all our operations. Our commitment to excellence ensures that every aspect of our work — from scientific curation to customer service — delivers lasting value and sets us apart as a trusted, quality resource.
Our content and tools reflect the diversity of global food science and are accessible to all. We thrive on collaboration, building meaningful relationships with users, partners, and each other. We believe that progress comes through shared ideas and collective action.
We operate impartially and without external influence, driven by our commitment to provide trusted, evidence-based information. This independence allows us to maintain our focus on serving the global food community with reliable and unbiased resources.
We embrace forward-thinking approaches and technological advancement, continuously exploring creative solutions to meet the evolving needs of our global food science community. Our curiosity drives us to challenge existing paradigms, develop cutting-edge tools, and remain adaptable in a rapidly changing research landscape.
We are a signatory to the SDG Publishers Compact. The SDG Publishers Compact is a United Nations initiative that was launched in 2020 in collaboration with the International Publishers Association. It aims to accelerate progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
Having signed the Compact, we are now using the SDG framework to develop a range of sustainable working practices.
In August 2021, we were delighted to receive an EcoVadis Gold Medal sustainability rating following an assessment of our policies, practices and measures on the environment, labour and human rights, and ethics. We're passionate about continuing this work and want to keep pushing to achieve a more sustainable working environment.
