Did you know that FSTA offers far more than core food and nutrition science content? It also brings a world of interdisciplinary, food-focused research to your fingertips, including extensive literature related to fisheries science.
You can find information from trusted sources on all types of fish and fish products, including nutritional composition, sensory properties and microbiology. Research also features all elements of the chain, from processing and preservation, to packaging and retail, and economics and consumer research. Our latest breakdown examines the wide range of trusted fisheries science research in FSTA.

Halloween may be approaching, but don’t let misleading “ghost” results haunt your literature searches. Your search results can be flooded with irrelevant information, or false hits, when your search term has different meanings in different contexts.
For example, searching for spirits in FSTA returns results about alcoholic beverages, and not about moods, fuel, or even ghosts and the supernatural.
Minimise the false hits in your literature searching by using a subject-specific database. Learn more about deciding where to search.
To mark the latest in our series of our topic breakdowns, we have gone fishing for some of the latest fisheries science research available in FSTA. Here's a selection of what we reeled in:
Saki Watanabe et al., Fisheries Science, Volume 91
Heather Browning et al., Animal Welfare, Volume 34
Nana Zhao, Yunfei Lu, Junjie Liu, Nutricion Hospitalaria, Volume 42, Issue 1
