Barbara Byrd-Keenan

Barbara joined the IFIS Board in 2003, becoming Chair in 2011. She is currently Executive Vice President of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), and is a well respected contributor and key note speaker at food industry events across the globe.

Colin Dennis

Colin has been a member of the IFIS Board since 2009. He has a total of 40 years experience in food research and 29 years of senior management experience. Colin was Director-General at Campden BRI for 21 years.

Simon Inger

A member of the IFIS Board since 2011, Simon is Managing Director of Simon Inger Consulting and has been involved in scholarly publishing for over twenty years. Previously Simon was a co-founder and Managing Director of CatchWord, the highly successful e-journal hosting service provider.

Andrea Powell

Joining the IFIS Board in 2011, Andrea has worked in the information industry since graduating in 1988. After a brief spell with Reuters, Andrea joined CAB International in the Marketing Department in 1991, subsequently becoming Executive Director of Publishing.

Michael Ernest Knowles

Previously with the UK Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and The Coca-Cola Company, Michael joined the IFIS Board in 2013. A former Global President of the International Life Sciences Institute, he remains a member of its Global and European Boards.

Weibiao Zhou

Weibiao joined the IFIS Board in 2012. He is currently a full professor and Director of the Food Science and Technology Programme at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He has over 30 years of academic and research experience, focusing on food research since 1992.
